GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF ENGINEER DIVISION PAYS HIS MAIDEN VISIT TO 7 FIELD ENGINNER REGIMENT

The General Officer Commanding of Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division Major General D K S K Dolage USP psc made his maiden visit to 7 Field Engineer Regiment at Batu Oya, Minneriya on 15 March 2024.The GOC was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer,Major J C Mapatuna RSP SLE.

Adhering to the formalities visit commenced with the GOC receiving a drive pass. Subsequently, the GOC and the Officers had an interactive session followed by the Lunch. Then, Commanding Officer and other respective officers conducted a comprehensive briefing to the visiting Senior Officer including role and tasks, organizational structure, strength, training, administration and logistic of the regiment.

The General Officer Commanding addressed the troops, emphasizing responsibilities when performing role and tasks. Moreover, the General Officer Commanding Engineer Division elaborated on the importance of discipline, employing the soldiers in different fields of work and balancing the work and personnel life.

The General Officer Commanding joined the tea party with all ranks and programme was culminated with inspection of the unit premises including the 163 workshop squadron.
