VISIT OF THE COMMANDER FIELD ENGINEER BRIGADE TO 10 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT

The Commander of Field Engineer Brigade, Colonel F Joseph USP made his maiden official visit to 10 Field Engineer Regiment on 02 February 2024. The newly appointed Brigade Commander was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer of 10 Field Engineer Regiment, Major M C S Mallawage Lsc SLE by extending a gracious welcome on behalf of all Ranks of the Regiment.

The Brigade Commander was accorded a Guard Turnout at the main entrance, which was followed by planting a mango sapling. Subsequently, the Commanding Officer presented a comprehensive briefing covering vital aspects such as role and task, organizational structure, administration matters, logistic matters, training and on-going field engineer and plant engineer tasks of the Regiment. Following the formalities, the Commander Field Engineer Brigade addressed the all Ranks of the 10 Field Engineer Regiment and emphasized the necessity of maintaining the military discipline at all levels. Further, he elaborated on the importance of managing the salary with the prevailing economic crisis.

Subsequent to the troop address the Brigade Commander participated for the all ranks tea and visited the camp premises. The visit of the Commander Field Engineer Brigade was concluded by visiting the on-going demining sites at Palali (N-DA-JA 346 Palali West) and Kareinagar (N-DA-JA 359 Kareinagar North). Demining troops of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps are currently deployed at the Palali demining site under the supervision of 10 Field Engineer Regiment. Demining troops belong to 10 Field Engineer Regiment are currently deployed at the both demining sites.
