The Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Ex-Servicemen’s Association in Kurunegala recently hosted its 4th Annual General Meeting and Get-Together at the 'Lihini Kumbuka Hotel' on 21 January 2024. The Association, affiliated with the SLE Ex-Servicemen Association (The Bridge), saw a robust participation of approximately 90 members, including key figures from the executive committee.
The gathering provided a platform to acknowledge and appreciate the commendable work and unwavering commitment demonstrated by the association's committee. Members took the opportunity to express their gratitude for the efforts put forth in supporting and fostering camaraderie among ex-servicemen in the region.
During the Annual General Meeting, members actively engaged in discussions, sharing valuable comments, and presenting proposals for future planning. This collaborative approach ensures that the association continues to evolve and meet the changing needs of its members, fostering a strong sense of community and support.
The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Major General HCP Goonatillake (Rtd) RSP USP ndc psc, President of The Bridge, Colonel RM Subasinghe RSP, Deputy Centre Commandant SLE, and Lieutenant Colonel MRT Jayatissa SLE, Staff Officer 1 (Veteran Affairs). Their presence added prestige to the occasion, emphasizing the significance of the association's role in the community.
