The 14 Chemical Biological Radiology and Nuclear Response Regiment proudly marked their 15 Anniversary magnificently with series of religious and ceremonial formalities during 14 and 15 July 2023 at the Home of Sappers’, Mattegoda. The series of events consisted with Inter Squadrons Cricket Tournament, Dharma Sermon Programme, Battalion Parade, Planting of Sapling, All Ranks Lunch and session was winded up with a Musical Night under the guidance and supervision of the Commanding Officer of 14 CBRN Response Regiment Lt Col BMPK Beligahawaththa RSP USP SLE.
Moreover, Inter Squadron cricket tournament was the initial event of the Anniversary celebration with following Dharma sermon programme with participation of all officers and other ranks of 14 CBRN Response Regiment SLE on 14 July 2023. The proud anniversary day (15), the Commanding Officer was offered with a magnificent Battalion Parade which forecasted the glamour of 15th year anniversary and the prestige of the 14 CBRN Response Regiment SLE. The Second in Command of the regiment Maj BDJ Rangajeewa USP psc SLE welcome the Commanding Officer with pride, at the occasion. The Commanding Officer planted a sapling in front of the 14 CBRN Headquarters to symbolize the 15 anniversary of the regiment. Furthermore, all ranks lunch held at Sappers’ mess to enhance the unity among ORs and Officers of 14 CBRN Response Regiment SLE. The brief series of anniversary commemoration concluded with a Musical Night with the participation invited guest and all Officers, Other Ranks and civilian employees at Sappers’ Cricket Ground, Mattegoda and the Musical Night was colorful by the Sri Lanka Army Band.
