In observing the traditions of the Poson Poya Festival, a “Maha Bath Dansala” was organized by the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering in Embilipitiya. The dansala was a success due to the generous assistance of the local community and the staff of SLSME. The dansala which was inaugurated at 1300 hr was able to provide meals for approximately 3,600 devotees. In addition to the dansala, SLSME exhibited a large rotating mechanical lantern in the Ranna Poson Poya zone in the Hambantota district.
