Cycling is packed with adventure, skill, speed, daring, quick thinking and teamwork to make it one of the best recreational sports in the modern world. Whether younger or older, smaller or bigger, weaker or stronger, cycling is a sport for everyone.
Regimental Centre – Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers took the initiative to organize a remarkable Cycle tour on 01 April 2023 with a concept of the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Maj Gen MK Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu. The route of the journey was RHQ SLE, Panagoda, Thalagala Junction, Moragahahena, Horana, Eagal oya Bulathsinghala and culminated from Delmella Oya. The distance of the tour was 43 Km consisted with hills, slopes with beauty of natural locations which followed by a lunch for officers and their families.
Around 50 Senior Officers/Officer and their families accompanied this event to get a memorable experience. The prime aim of this tour was to enhance the physical health, fitness and endurance which is contemporary significant for officers. Moreover, to promote the cooperation and unity among officers and their families.
