The Seva Vanitha Branch of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers organized an awareness programme to educate the soldiers of Corps of Engineers about the Importance of Vocational Training on 02 September 2022 at Army Camp- Mattegoda. The concept of the programme was an idea of the president of Seva Vanitha Branch Sri Lanka Engineers (SVB - SLE) Mrs Mallika Wijayasundara who keenly directed the programme to educate the troops on prevailing job market and opportunities ahead for their children. Accordingly, Major (Retd) Keerthi Thalakiriyawa gave a fruitful approach for the day’s event and Mrs Chandima Rodrigo- Vocational Carrier Counsellor, graced the occasion as the first guest lecturer to deliver a timely important lecture on ‘Identification of youth abilities and available career paths’. This session was followed with three more lectures conducted by the resource personnels mentioned below.

Global and local employment market (Mr. Erandika Dissanayake- Country coordinator, ILO )
Activities conducted with industries and foreign missions by VTA in order to find employment for youth (Mr. EADS Senarathne- Deputy Director, VTA)
The president of Seva Vanitha Branch of Sri Lanka Corps of Engineers, Mrs. Mallika Wijayasundara, the ladies of Seva Vanitha Branch and Center Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers- Brigadier MPK Madurapperuma RSP USP psc graced the occasion at the event.
