The newly appointed Commander 612 Infantry Brigade Brigadier LGB Kariyawasam RWP RSP USP made his first official visit to 12 Field Engineer Regiment after assuming office on 19 February 2022. The visiting Commander 612 Infantry Brigade warmly welcomed by Officers and Senior Non Commissioned Officers of 12 Field Engineer Regiment.
The days events included unit briefing, troop address and camp visit. Addressing the troops the brigade commander highlighted the importance of being a disciplined soldier in the Army. Moreover, he stressed officers and soldiers to maintain a work life balance being a professional soldier.
As the final event of the days programme the Brigade Commander inspected proposed land for 612 Infantry Brigade and 12 Field Engineer Regiment at Dodangoda. The visit programme was conducted with compliance to the Covid 19 health guidelines whilst attending minimal number of troops.
