SENIOR SAPPER OFFICER BECOMES THE FIRST IN ORDER OF MERIT IN THE SENIOR COMMAND COURSE AT ARMY WAR COLLEGE

The maiden Graduation Ceremony of the newly designated Army War College (AWC) was held on 17 December 2021 at the College Auditorium.

Major CR Lahadasinghe USP psc SLE became the first in order of merit in the Senior Command Course held at Army War College - Buttala from 06 September 2021 to 17 December 2021 and 38 student officers were participated in the course.

The strenuous study period of SCC 3 culminated with a glamourous Graduation Ceremony and the trophy for the first place awarded to the most outstanding Officer and was presented by General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army.

This glorious occasion was graced by the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva as the Chief Guest and Commandant of AWC Major General Swarna Bothota RWP RSP USP psc, Deputy Commandant, Chief Instructor, Senior Instructors and members of the permanent staff also were attended the ceremony.
