Closing ceremony of the Basic Humanitarian Demining Course - No 37 was ceremonially held on 26th of November 2021 at the auditorium of Field Engineering Brigade. The Commander Field Engineering Brigade, Brigadier DP Jayasinghe RSP graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Colonel Project of Field Engineer Brigade, Second in Command 8 Field Engineer Regiment and other staff officers of the Field Engineer Brigade also participated for the event.
The Basic Humanitarian Demining Course - No 37 was conducted from 21 September 2021 to 26 November 2021. 4 x Officers and 62 x Other Ranks qualified to wear Humanitarian Demining badge, after completion of the course successfully and O/69509 Major MCPA Manodarage SLE of 16 Workshop Regiment was secured the highest average during the Course.
The event was consisting with Insignias and certificates awarding, Group photograph. In the meantime, the Commander Field Engineering Brigade, Brigadier DP Jayasinghe RSP addressed the course students and briefed about the importance of Humanitarian Demining and he emphasized the role of a deminer. Finally, he congratulates for their future.
The programme was held strictly complying to the COVID 19 Health guidelines.
