The Workshop on the Introduction to Project Management, which was inaugurated under the auspices of Maj Gen A N Amarasekara USP ndu, Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineers and the Chief Field Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army on 19 April 2021, concluded with the awarding of certificates to the participants on 23 April 2021.
The 5-day Workshop which commenced on 19 April 2021, provided an insight to 30 Officers of the Corps of Engineers on the theatrical aspects on Project Management. The participants of this workshop comprised of Senior and Junior Officers presently involved in Nation Building Projects undertaken island wide.
The Workshop was conducted by NEXTEC Engineering Private Limited headed by Mr. Prasad Perera with the lecture panel consisting of a mix from Academia and industry experts from the University of Peradeniya and University of Moratuwa. The Workshop was concluded with the Certificate Awarding Ceremony on 23 April 2021 at the Convention Centre at Mattegoda in conformity to the health regulations and guidelines stipulated on the prevention of COVID – 19.
Certificates for the successful participants were awarded by Eng Samitha Jayakody, Director Architectural & Buildings, Resources Development Consultants (RDC) Sri Lanka, Maj Gen W M G C S B Wijayasundera RSP USP ndu, General Officer Commanding Engineer Division and Maj Gen A N Amarasekara USP ndu, Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineers and the Chief Field Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army.
