On the guidance and advice of Maj Gen A N Amarasekara USP ndu, Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineers and the Chief Field Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army, this workshop was organised. The aim of this workshop is to enhance the knowledge and professionalism of Sapper Officers on Construction Project Management. As the Corps of Engineers is entrusted with projects and tasks not only within the Army but also projects on Nation Building and other National projects in support of local authorities, this workshop provides the required theoretical knowledge to officers involved in Military and Non-Military projects.
This programme has been carefully designed by a team of well experienced resource personnel from NEXTEC Engineering Private Limited headed by Mr. Prasad Perera. Lectures at this workshop are delivered by a panel of eminent resource personnel with vast experience and knowledge to add value to the programme. The lecture panel consists of a blend of Academia and industry experts from the University of Peradeniya and University of Moratuwa. The Workshop is conducted in conformity to the health regulations and guidelines stipulated on the prevention of COVID – 19 at the Convention Centre in Mattegoda from 19 to 23 April 2021.
