The Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Engineers, Major General HRKP Peiris VSV USP ndu paid an official visit to10 Field Engineer Regiment Myladdi, Kankasanthurai on 16th of January 2021. The Colonel Commandant was ceremonially welcomed at 10 Field Engineer Regiment and followed by a briefing on current operational commitments and unit administration.
During his camp visit, he witnessed the living standard of soldiers and civil servants while inspecting, provided utilities to uplift the living standards. Further, he addressed sappers and emphasized the necessity to work hard while maintaining outstanding discipline at every time and role of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineer in peace time as a nation building force. The visit was followed by a series of activities such as planting of a sapling, visit of camp premises and a tea with the Officers and soldiers of 10 Field Engineer regiment and finally Officers get-together at Officers’ Mess.
