The Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General HRKP Peiris VSV USP ndu made an official visit to 6 Field Engineer Regiment on 15 January 2021. The Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer 6 SLE, Lieutenant Colonel BKTN Batuwanthudawa USP SLE on the arrival and afterwards briefed the role and tasks as well as the responsibilities of the regiment.
The visit was followed by a series of activities such as a briefing of the Commanding Officer, planting of a sapling, troop address, visit of camp premises and all ranks tea. During this short visit, the Colonel Commandant highly appreciated the contribution of the 6 Field Engineer troops in military and nation building projects and also expressed his views on infrastructure development of the camp.
