THE CHIEF OF STAFF OF SRI LANKA ARMY AND THE COLONEL COMMANDANT OF CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS VISITED 6 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT

The Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General HJS Gunawardena RSP VSV USP ndc psc made an official visit to 6 Field Engineer Regiment on 30 November 2020. The Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Commanding officer 6 SLE, Lieutenant Colonel BKTN Batuwanthudawa USP SLE on the arrival and afterwards briefed the role and tasks as well as the responsibilities of the regiment.

The visit was followed by a series of activities such as a troop address, planting of a sapling, visit of camp premises and a tea with officers at the Officers’ Mess. During this short visit, the Colonel Commandant expressed his views on infrastructure development of the camp premises and appreciated the contribution of the 6 Field Engineers Troops in military and nation building projects.
