Passing out of the Bomb Disposal Course 1/2020 was ceremonially held on 05th November 2020 at the parade square of Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering with the participation of the Chief Field Engineer Major General A N Amarasekara USP ndu as the Chief Guest.
Brigadier N P A Gunawardana RSP- Commander Field Engineer Brigade, Brigadier M P K Madurapperuma RSP USP psc-The Commandant of the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering ,and the staff of Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering also graced ceremony.
6 x Officers and 41 x Other Ranks including 3x Leading Seamen of Special Boat Squadron of Sri Lanka Navy qualified for the insignia and they have obtained the insignia with the presence of Chief Field Engineer.
The following Officer and Other Rank were secured the highest average during the course and deserved for special awards which has been aworded for best student of the course.
Lt W B Lakmal SLE- The First in Order of Merit in Officers’ category.
L/Cpl Karandagolla K G W M C K-The First in Order of Merit in ORs’ category.
Ceremony was unfolded with EOD and CBRN demonstration conducted by the 14 CBRN Regt SLE. Thereafter, parade was held to wear insignia at the drills square where Chief Guest ,the Chief Field Engineer Major General A N Amarasekara USP ndu Delivered the closing address.
Finally all Officers of the course conducted feedback presentation on recommendation for future improvements of the Bomb Disposal course.
