The Chief of Staff and the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General Jagath Gunawardena attended the ceremony of laying the foundation stone to the proposed new Conventional Hall at Mattegoda, amidst chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ by the Maha Sangha on 21 October 2020.
Major General Kuma Pieris, Additional Director DHQC Project, Major General Nihal Amarasekara, the Chief Field Engineer, Major General Nishantha Herath, the Director General Training, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Rankers took part in the ceremony.
The programme was conducted adhering to health safety guidelines and social distancing practices.
