The Chief Field Engineer also visited to the Gajaba Farm, Sebala Wewa at Singhepura and Himbiliyakada Village tank construction at Wilgamuwa.

The Chief Field Engineer of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Maj Gen A N Amarasekara USP ndu payed his first visit to the 8, 9 and 11 Field Engineer Regiments on 14th, 15th and 16th of October 2020 respectively. The visiting Chief Field Engineer was accorded with formal drive pass by the troops of the regiments and welcomed by the Commanding Officers. Thereafter Chief Field Engineer was extensively briefed by the Commanding Officers on their current status of the ongoing Field and Plant tasks. Planting of saplings was carried out to mark the Chief Field Engineer’s visit to the regiments.

Apart from the unit visit, the Chief Field Engineer also visited to the ongoing project sites, SLNG cricket ground construction at SLNG Regimental Centre, Wahara, Madurankuliya Madya Maha Vidyalaya at puttalam and Gajaba Regimental Centre at Saliyapura on 14 October 2020. The Chief Field Engineer also visited to the Gajaba Farm, Sebala Wewa at Singhepura and Himbiliyakada Village tank construction at Wilgamuwa. Moreover Chief Field Engineer paid his attention towards the proposed tank renovation sites at Mahaweli L System in Weli Oya and Mullaitivu districts under “WARI SAUBHAGYA” project, by visiting the selected locations on 15th October 2020. During the visit he appreciated the officers and soldiers on their commitment and dedication towards the successful completion of their assigned tasks. Further CFE broadly instructed the officers and soldiers onsite, on achieving the expected outcome.
