12 FIELD ENGINEERS HAVE SUCCESSFULLY BATTLED THE FLAMES OF WILDFIRE

Conforming to the new Unit deployment plan circulated by the Army Headquarters 12 Field Engineer Regiment have been exempted from the classic duties and relocated at Pitigala area under 612 Infantry Brigade specifically focusing on the Infantry duties. Immediately after the resumption of Operations in 612 InfBde AOR, the12 Field Engineer Regiment have joined the troops of 2 x 30 battled and fight blazing flames of wildfires at the Piniyawala forest reserve in Walallawita Divisional Secretariat on 23^rd August 2020.
