The Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Maj Gen DDUK Hettiarrachchi RSP VSV USP ndu psc paid an official visit to the 14 Chemical Biological Radiology and Nuclear (CBRN) Response Regiment on the request made by the Commanding Officer. A demonstration on the capabilities of CBRN first respondents was conducted during this visit. The CO 14 CBRN conducted the initial briefing at the 5 Fd SLE Officers’ mess which was followed by the demonstration at the Sappers Cricket Grounds on 28 February 2019.
The Colonel Commandant together with Major General H R K P Peiris USP, Chief Field Engineer, Brigadier A N Amarasekara USP ndu , Commander Engr Bde, Brigadier NKLSR Dias RSP, Centre Commandant SLE, Col NPA Gunawardena, Commander Nation Building Task Force and the Plant Engineer Brigade and officers form HQ CFE, RHQ SLE, 5 SLE, 14 CBRN SLE, 16 WKSP SLE, 4 (V)SLE and 15(V) SLE attended this demonstration.
