OFFICERS TRAINING DAY FOR THE SECOND QUARTER 2018 WAS SUCCESSFULLY HELD AT CORPS HEADQUARTERS

Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers held Officers' Training Day for the second quarter of year 2018 at Corps Headquarters, Panagoda on 20 June 2018.

Under the direction and guidance of the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Major General Darshan Hettiarachchi and Centre Commandant Brigadier Sarath Dissanayake, Regimental Centre had organized a fruitful session throughout the day.

The day's programme commenced with the morning PT session. Subsequently, Major General A E D Wijendra(Retd) RWP RSP VSV ndc psc at the invitation of Colonel Commandant, enlightened Officers on "Officering". It was very thought provoking lecture for the all participants who have joined with the event.

Afterwards, Major J A C S Jagoda psc SLE the Commanding Officer of 1 Field Engineer Regiment conducted a lecture on "The Officer and Gentlemen" .

As the evening session of the day's programme a lecture was conducted by the Captain C S R Chandanayake , Staff Officer 3 (Admin) at RHQ SLE on "Maintain the Physical Fitness as an Officer". Thereafter, Officers granted evening recreation.

As the final segment of the day's programme Dinners Club Activity was taken place and Mr Wijaya Dissanayake conducted an interactive lecture on "Maritime Dispute of South China Sea and Its Impact on World Economy". It was mainly focus the Officers who supposed to appear for the Staff College selection exam and promotion exams.
