ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF SEVA VANITHA BRANCH CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS CONCLUDES WITH GLAMOUR

Annual General Meeting of Seva Vanitha Branch Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers was held at 1500 hrs to 2230 hrs on 9 December 2017 under the patronage of incumbent President Mrs Iromi Ranasinghe in a grand ceremony at the Regimental Centre Panagoda. Forty three spouses of serving officers including Executive Committee of the branch gathered the day\'s proceedings.\r\n\r\nThe proceedings commenced with a special donation programme for the children of serving Other Ranks of the Corps. Thirty five gift packs comprised with books, stationaries, school bags and the milk powder packets were donated for schooling children by the Members of the Seva Vanitha Branch. A special donation comprised with a financial assistance and a gift pack with sanitary items was presented by the Colonel Commandant and the Commander Security Forces (West) Major General S Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc and Mrs Iromi Ranasinghe for L/Cpl Upali who blessed with triplets babies. Seva Vanitha branch also presented a gift pack with all the sanitary items for newly born babies. \r\n\r\nSubsequently, Annual General Meeting was taken place at the Conventional Centre of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers. A documentary on past events of year 2017 followed recollection memories and appreciating the effort and the contribution of the members towards the Engineer Seva Vanitha Branch and the Corps. President of Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Iromi Ranasinghe highlighted the year’s achievements and the events planned ahead. \r\n\r\nMrs Rathna Pushpa Kunmari invited guest speaker conducted a lecture on mental health development for the ladies. \r\nThe event became recorded in the history with participation of highest number of members. On the invitation of the incumbent president, past presidents of Seva Vanitha branch graced at the event. The session was decorated with few events organized to celebrate the ladies night. Musical chair competition, sing along session, balloon breaking competition and raffle draw were among the events organized. The winners of the games were presented with valuable gifts as arraigned by the president. \r\n
