HANDING OVER CEREMONY OF COMMANDER ENGINEER BRIGADE
Commander Engineer Brigade, Brig H J S Gunawardane RSP USP psc has relinquished his duties on 31 August 2015 at Engineer Brigade Boo Oya. The brief Ceremony was commenced with guard turnout, troop address and with a tree planting ceremony around newly constructed Play Ground and Field Training Area of Engineer Brigade Boo Oya Camp.
After the all rank tea party which was organized by 12 Fd Engineer, outgoing Commander Engineer Brigade, Brig Jagath Gunawardane declared open the newly constructed Gymnasium by full filling the long term requirement for all sport loving personnel’s in Boo Oya Camp. Thereafter he visited newly constructed Mine Detecting Dogs Laboratory and MDD Monument. Newly appointed Commander Engineer Brigade, Brig S J M A R Senevirathne RWP USP psc also accompanied during the ceremony and had formal interaction with outgoing Brigade Commander on existing Engineer tasks before attend to the lunch with all officers which was organized by 8 Field Engineer Regiment.
