HUMANITARIAN DEMINING TRAINING CONDUCTED BY US ARMY MOBILE TRAINING TEAM
US Army Mobile Training team conducted Hook-Line training to SLA HDU from 30 March 2015 to 2 April 2015 as a part of phase VI to previous training program. With the view to enhance capabilities of SLA HDU Deminers at Engineer Brigade - Boo Oya, 7 Officers and 63 Other Ranks participated at this training program including 35 Other Ranks from CBRN Squadron.
US State Department donated Ten Hook-Line kits to SLA HDU to speed up ongoing Humanitarian Demining activities. In addition to planned Hook-Line training they conducted the Introduction to CBRN and Basic skills required for members of CBRN Squadron.
They visited School of Military Engineering Embilipitiya to study the future training requirements of EOD and Humanitarian Demining.
