”SAPPERS CYCLE TOUR” TO KUKULEGANGA

Over lush paddy fields to sprawling tea plantations, rural villages to nature preserves teeming with wildlife, the range of Sri Lanka's geographical and cultural treasures is astounding and there's no better way to see it all than on two wheels.

The Regimental Centre - Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers took the initiative to organize an impressive Cycle tour from down West to Sabaragamuwa border on Saturday, 25 June 2022. The journey commenced from RHQ SLE, Panagoda and the ultimate destination was the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL), Kukuleganga which is located 60 kilometers far away by road. The prime goal of this tour was to enhance the health, unity, brotherhood among Officers and moreover to promote the Cycling among people specially during this economic crisis.

Centre Commandant - RHQ SLE, Brigadier Manoj Madurapperuma, Commandant - SLSME, Colonel Chandana Wickramanayake, Deputy Centre Commandant - RHQ SLE, Colonel Franklin Joseph, Colonel Project (Engr Bde), Colonel Janaka Kodithuwakku Commanding Officers of 1, 5, 14 CBRN SLE, 4, 15 (V) SLE, Staff Officers of RHQ SLE, Senior Officers and Officers accompanied this event to gain a memorable experience.
