The Sri Lanka Army Chief Field Engineer Major General Chandana Wijayasundera RSP USP ndu made his visit to Headquarters, Engineer Division at Maththegoda on 11 March 2022.
His visit to “Home of Sappers" Maththegoda after assuming duties of Chief Field Engineer was an inspiration to the troops of Sappers in Maththegoda Army Camp. General Officer Commanding of the Engineer Division Major General Mahinda Jayawaradana RSP USP ndu welcomed the Colonel Commandant at the entrance of the camp complex.
The Chief Field Engineer inspected the camp and afterward addressed the officers and other ranks serving at the Maththegoda camp complex and emphasized that the importance of having simple life style.
A briefing was conducted by the staff officers of Engineer Division, COs’ of respective regiments on their duties, responsibilities and present employment of the tasks. Staff officers of Engineer Division and officers and other ranks of 5 SLE, 14 CBRN, 16 Workshop SLE were participated at the event.
