The Chief Field Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc visited the General Engineering Brigade – Kachchigala on 15 June 2023 prior to it being suppressed.
The Chief Field Engineer was warmly received by the Brigade Commander General Engineering Brigade – Brig T C Peiris RSP USP. The visit commenced with a Drive Pass accorded to the Chief Field Engineer. Thereafter, the Chief Field Engineer addressed the Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks at General Engineering Brigade. He appreciated the admirable service rendered by the brigade especially in nation building tasks and emphasized the importance of continuing the same once they are deployed on other tasks in the future. He further stated that Sappers should strive to build the image of the Sri Lanka Army and the Corps of Engineers as a whole in the public eye.
