VALUABLE DONATION PROGRAM CODUCTED BY THE CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS SEVA VANITHA BRANCH

As a gesture of goodwill and charity, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Engineers (SVB-SLE) organized a donation program of 2 wheel chairs, 7 prosthetic legs for deceased war hearos, differently abled and serving soldiers and Stationary items for their children on 20th January 2021 at Convention Hall premises, Maththegoda.

The sponsorship for the event was given by following sponsors, who were coordinate by the president of the Seva Wanitha Branch Mrs. Ramya Peiris, and members of the Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Mihiri Herath and Mrs.Lenika Balasooriya.

The event was held under the patronage of Mrs Ramya Deepika Peiris, the president of the Seva Vanitha branch while the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General Kumara Peiris made his presence to the event.

Awarding the gifts were carried out by the president and senior members of the Seva Vanitha branch, and the guests of honour.

The aim of the event is to motivate differently abled soldiers, improve their life style in to comfortable ones and enhance their children’s education.

The program was conducted adhering to health safety guidelines and social distancing practices.
