TECHNICAL MASTERY IN ACTION: 16 WORKSHOP REGIMENT DELIVERS COMPLETE BOWSER RESTORATION

The 16 Workshop Regiment, Sri Lanka Engineers successfully completed the comprehensive restoration and repainting of an Army bowser belonging to the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers (UHA 27364) within a notable period, demonstrating a high standard of technical expertise, dedication, and teamwork.

The vehicle, which had sustained extensive corrosion and wear due to prolonged operational use, was received at the workshop for major refurbishment. The bowser was fully dismantled, and all corroded and damaged body components were meticulously repaired through extensive tinkering and structural restoration work. Upon completion of the repairs, the vehicle was professionally repainted to Army standards.

The entire restoration and repainting process was carried out in-house by the skilled soldiers of the 16 Workshop Regiment, reflecting the regiment’s strong technical capability, self-reliance, and commitment to maintaining Engineer assets. The timely completion of this task highlights the regiment’s efficiency and professionalism in vehicle restoration and maintenance.
