SRI LANKA SCHOOL OF MILITARY ENGINEERING VESAK

Troops of the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering organized a series of religious ceremonies to mark the Vesak Festival. These events were held in the camp premises on May 23 and 24, 2024, under the guidance of the Commandant of the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering, Colonel MKV Manoharan USP.

The Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering organized a veneration of the Bodhi pooja pinkama on Vesak Day. Moreover, decorations, crafted by members of the Field Engineer Wing, Earth Moving and Plant Construction Wing, and NVQ Section, were contributed for Vesak celebrations.

In addition, an Ice Cream Dansala was organised and more than 2,500 ice creams were distributed to the general public. In addition to spreading happiness throughout the community, this endeavour exemplified the institution's dedication to safeguarding public health and safety
