The Southern Province Sri Lanka Engineers Ex-Servicemen Association convened its Annual General Meeting and Get-Together on 25 February 2024 at 'Hill Side Hotel – Galle’. This gathering marked a noteworthy moment for the association, linked with the Sri Lanka Engineers Ex-Servicemen Association, "The Bridge."
The event drew a robust attendance of nearly 72 members from Galle, Matara and Hambanthota districts, including key appointees from the main executive committee. This diverse participation underscored the active engagement and commitment of the association's members.
The meeting provided a platform to acknowledge and increase in value of the commendable work demonstrated by the association's committee. Members took this opportunity to express their appreciation for the efforts put forth in supporting among ex-servicemen in Southern Province.
During the Annual General Meeting, members enthusiastically involved in discussions, sharing valuable remarks, and adding proposals for future planning.
Major General LN Wickramasuriya (Rtd) RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, some office bearers of main executive committee of the Bridge, Brigadier S P G Gamage RWP RSP USP, Centre Commandant SLE and Lieutenant Colonel M R T Jayatissa SLE, Staff Officer I (Veteran Affairs) graced the occasion as distinguished guests, adding prestige to the gathering and their presence emphasized the significance of the Association's role within the community.
