SEVA VANITHA BRANCH CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS VISITED TO MIHINDU SETH MEDURA - ATHTHIDIYA

The ‘Mihindu Seth Medura', is a healing home for war veterans who were disabled during the battle. It is also a 'Home Away Home' for the gravely disabled heroes with restricted movements requiring continuous care, attention and assistance.

The Seva Vanitha Branch Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers organized a visit to Mihindu Seth Medura at Aththidiya on 15 March 2022. The President of Seva Vanitha Branch Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Mrs Mihiri Herath led the visiting team and the Commandant of Mihindu Seth Medura, Colonel Priyantha Liyanage warmly welcomed the Chairperson on her arrival.

At the beginning all the inmates and the visitors treated with a welcome drink. Thereafter lunch was offered to the inmates by the Seva Vanitha members. The gathering was entertained by the Calypso team of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and the entertaining activities conducted therein were greatly enjoyed by the inmates by performing their skills in front of the gathering.

At the next moment, Mrs Mihir Herath, the president of Seva Vanitha Branch symbolically handed over set of essential items to the Commandant of Mihindu Seth Medura, which are going to be benefited for the inmates.

Finally, the Commandant Colonel Priyantha Liyanage and the staff Officers of the institute thanked all the participants of the Seva Vanitha Branch Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers for their contribution to the betterment of the inmates.
