Under the guidance of the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Mrs. Surangi Amarapala, the 8 Field Engineer Regiment organized an educational aid and ration packs donation programme on Saturday, 30th November 2024 at the 8 Field Engineer Regiment, Vavuniya.
The initiative aimed to provide essential educational materials to children of soldiers with more than three children in their families. Each gift pack included school bags, books, and stationery, ensuring the children are well-equipped to excel academically.
The event saw the active participation of Mrs. Nadeeshani Hidellarachchi, the spouse of the Commanding Officer of the 8 Field Engineer Regiment, along with Commanding Officer and all Officers of the 8 Field Engineer Regiment.
