SEVA VANITHA BRANCH OF CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS LAUNCHED A DONATION PROGRAMME COLLABORATION WITH 16 WORKSHOP REGIMENT SLE

By extending welfare activities further, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers launched an essential study materials donation programme in collaboration with the 16 Workshop Regiment SLE. This initiative aimed to support the children of the late Corporal Nandana AWDDN, who passed away in 2021 while participating in Peace Support Operations Training at IPSOTSL.

The programme was held on September 27 2024, at the SALEBA Convention Hall in Mattegoda, under the guidance of Mrs. Surangi Amarapala, the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch - Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, alongside the Commanding Officer and all officers of the 16 Workshop Regiment SLE, with participation of SLE Seva Vanitha Branch members.

This donation programme was a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting the families of fallen war heroes. By providing educational materials, the community ensures that Corporal Nandana’s legacy lives on through his children, fostering hope for their future.
