Seva Vanitha Branch Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers organized a ceremony on 9 June 2018 to offer donations to Differently Abled War Heroes of the regiment. The ceremony, held at the Convention Centre of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Army Cantonment, Panagoda, was headed by the President Seva Vanitha Branch Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Mrs Ajantha Hettiarrachchi as the Chief Guest.
Fourteen War Heroes who are still in active service received the assistance under the donation programme. Mr Mohana Shankar and Mrs Vathani Mohana Shankar sponsored the programme donating 14 sets of toilet fittings worth of Rs 700,000.00 to 14 Differently Abled War Heroes, on the request made by Maj Gen D D U K Hettiarrachchi RSP VSV USP ndu psc the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna). Mrs Ajantha Hettiarrachchi, the President Seva Vanitha Branch Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers presented a memento in appreciation of the generous donation for the Differently Abled War Heroes who bravely fought to achieve the eternal peace to the motherland.
Members of the Seva Vanitha Branch Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Senior officers of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, together with serving Differently Abled Soldiers of the RFT Squadron SLE presented at the ceremony.
