The farewell hosted to the outgoing Chairperson of Seva Vanitha Branch of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers was held at Corps Headquarters, Panagoda on 17 August 2019. A monthly meeting has been organized coinciding with the event. Day’s events commenced with an enlightening guest lecture conducted by Dr Sanath Gamage on “Eight Facts Theory”. Monthly meeting was headed by Mrs Sagara Gunawardena and new office bearers were appointed.
The Farewell Dinner hosted to the outgoing Chairperson was held at the Officers’ Mess RHQ SLE at 1900 hours. Mrs Ajantha Hettiarrachchi on her arrival was warmly welcomed by Mrs Sagara Gunawardena. A documentary video highlighting the welfare and social activities conducted during the tenure of Mrs Ajantha Hettiarrachchi was displayed. Further, a photo album was presented to the outgoing Chairperson highlighting the significant events held during her tenure. Mrs Ajantha Hettiarrachchi paid her sincere gratitude to the Chairperson Mrs Sagara Gunarardena and all members for organizing wonderful farewell and greatly appreciated the excellent support extended to discharge her duties. The Chairperson of Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Sagara Gunawardena highly appreciated the invaluable service rendered by Mrs Ajantha Hettiarachchi to uplift the welfare of injured and deceased war heroes and their families of the Corps and extended good best wishes for the outgoing Chairperson. and her loving family during their future endeavors. Large gathering of members of the Seva Vanitha Branch were presented at the event.
