Thailand International Judo Championship 2024 was held from 18 to 24 September 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand, with the participation of 15 countries. Sri Lanka Army Judo players showcased remarkable skills, winning both silver and bronze medals in the competition.
Lance Corporal Herath HMDA, from the 4(V) Engineer Regiment, has made her country proud by winning a Silver Medal in the 45kg weight category at the International Judo Championship 2024. Competing as one of the three female players, representing the National Judo Team, Lance Corporal Herath HMDA demonstrated exceptional skill and determination on the international stage.
This silver medal is a significant achievement for both Lance Corporal Herath and the National Judo Team, showcasing the strength and talent of Sri Lanka’s female judo players in international levels.
