The ‘Inter Regiment Golf Championship - 2021’ got underway on 4 April 2021 (Sunday) at the Army Golf Ground in Diyatalawa.
During the tournament, Sappers gave a tough resistance to their opponents throughout the tournament and secured runners up under team female category, 2nd runners up under team male category and Lance Corporal Keerthisinghe secured 2nd runners up in the open event.
The Army golf tournament was worked out in the main two categories of ‘team’ and ‘individual’. Individual events were conducted as per the age categories. More than 50 male and female competitors representing most of the regiments competed in this tournament.
Major General Sena Waduge, Commander Army Training Command graced the event as the Chief Guest of the final awarding ceremony.
