SAPPER WRESTLERS BECOME CHAMPIONS AT ARMY NOVICES INTER REGIMENT WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP 2015
Wrestlers of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers in the three-day Sri Lanka Army wrestling tournament held at Nelumpiyasa Ground, Kilinochchi from 26 to 28 July emerged victorious and carried away the Championship in novices category.
The tournament was challenged by nine Regiments and gave the runners-up slot to SLSR.
S/246662 Spr Mahesh W G (57 KG weight Class) was adjudged the best looser in the tournament and received the trophy.
Chief Guest of the event Major General N Udawatta WWV RSP USP ndc psc commended the achievements gained by all wrestlers and a large crowd participated to witness the competition.
