The Sapper Officers Annual Cricket Encounter was kicked off at pm hours on 12 (Friday) February 2016 at Sapper Cricket Stadium Mattegoda, generating a wave of overwhelming enthusiasm and drawing a big crowd of sapper cricket fans to the pitch. The Cricket encounter was organized by Independent Workshop Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers under the supervision of Lieutenant Colonel M P K Madurapperuma RSP psc SLE. Major General S Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander Security Force Headquarter (West) graced the event as the Chief guest.
