SAPPER OFFICER BECOMES THE FIRST IN ORDER OF MERIT IN THE COUNTER INSURGENCY AND JUNGLE WARFARE COURSE – NO 32 AT ATS MADURUOYA

Captain SAMAKC Senanayake SLE became the first in order of merit in the Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare course No 32 held from 24 April 2023 to 28 July 2023 at Army Training School – Maduruoya. Total 27 student officers including 01 Officer from Sri Lanka Navy and 02 Officers from Sri Lanka Air Force were participated in the course. Besides, this is the consecutive second occasion of sapper officer became the first in order of merit in this course.

The Badge awarding ceremony was held on 28 July 2023 at the ATS - Maduruoya, attended by the Commandant, Army Training School, Brigadier KAWNH Bandaranayake USP as the Chief Guest saw all 27 Course attendees receive certificates of proficiency at the end of the occasion. The Course curriculum focused on Foundation module for insurgency, Doctrine for operations, Insurgency and terrorism, Internal security, Counterinsurgency operations and Jungle warfare operations and practical assignments.
