The Regimental Centre of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers ceremonially bid farewell to its outgoing Centre Commandant, Brigadier F Joseph USP, on Wednesday, 25th June 2025, in a dignified military ceremony held at the Regimental Centre, Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.
Upon his arrival, Brigadier Franklin Joseph was warmly received by the Deputy Centre Commandant, Colonel M D J Wickramaarachchi USP psc ptsc, and was accorded a Guard Turnout at the main entrance. As a mark of deep respect, he then laid a floral wreath at the Monument of Fallen War Heroes, honouring the supreme sacrifice of the brave War Heroes of the Corps.
A ceremonial farewell parade was subsequently held at the parade square, where the troops of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers paid their respects with full military honours. Addressing the parade, Brigadier Franklin Joseph expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all Officers and Other Ranks for their unwavering support, professionalism, and camaraderie extended to him throughout his tenure as the Centre Commandant.
The day's proceedings culminated with an all-ranks tea hosted at the Sappers’ Mess, where a large gathering of Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks came together to extend their best wishes to the outgoing Centre Commandant.
