PRESIDENTIAL TASK FORCE MADE OBSERVATION VISIT TO COPRS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS

Members of the special Presidential Task Force, appointed by HE the President to look into needs for health security of tri service personnel in the wake of the COVID-19 threat, paid a visit on 04 May 2020 to the Headquarter Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, established at Army Cantonment Panagoda and had a close look at the entire camp premises.

Members of the Task Force warmly welcomed by Major General Jayantha Senevirathne, Commander Security Forces-West adjoining with the Centre Commandant Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Colonel Mangala Mayadunna on their arrival to the Corps Headquarter. Visitors of Presidential Task Force, inclusive of retired senior officers and medical experts, headed by Western Province Governor and Marshal of the Air Force Roshan Gunathilaka, together with few more Presidential Task Force members.

During the field visit, Members of Presidential Task Force and Centre Commandant discussed ways and means of further improving standards inside the camp premises. The Deputy Centre Commandant, Commanding Officer 12 Field Engineer Regiment, senior officers and Regimental Sergeant Major also associated with the visit.
