Placing of a Buddha Statue at newly constructed Shrine Room at General Engineering Brigade was held according to Buddhist rituals on ‘Poson Poya Day’ (14 June 2022) with the participation of Brigade Commander, Brigadier T C Peiris RSP USP, Colonel Project, Colonel T D P Siriwardene psc, all rank of General Engineering Brigade and civilians.
The novel Buddhist Shrine Room was one of the most desired requirement and it will enrich the religious activities of the troops of Headquarters, General Engineering Brigade. All ranks of General Engineering Brigade, Units of Sri Lanka Engineers, 12 (V) Engineer Service Regiment and civil donors have contributed and donated to build the new Buddhist Shrine Room.
