NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDING OFFICER - 16 WORKSHOP REGIMENT SLE ASSUMES DUTIES

Major H K M N K Kalumullage USP psc ptsc SLE assumed duties as the 7th Commanding Officer of the 16 Workshop Regiment SLE on 15 May 2025.

The day's proceedings commenced with a ceremonial guard turnout in honor of the newly appointed Commanding Officer. Following this, the senior officer received religious blessings and officially assumed duties by signing the formal document in his office. To mark the special occasion, he was also invited to plant a sapling.

Subsequently, the Commanding Officer addressed the troops, sharing his thoughts and vision for the regiment. The event concluded with an all-ranks tea party, fostering camaraderie and unity among all ranks.
