NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDER PLANT ENGINEER BRIGADE ASSUMES DUTIES

Colonel K A S J Kodithuwakku USP ptsc, assumed duties as the 6th Commander Plant Engineer Brigade at Kanthale on 27 May 2024. The Brigade Commander was warmly welcomed by the Colonel Project, Lieutenant Colonel N K B S Jayasekara SLE upon his arrival and saluted with a Guard Turnout at the Main Entrance.

Subsequently, all Staff Officers and key appointment holders were introduced by the Colonel Project to the Brigade Commander. He signed the official document to mark the assumption of his duties amidst religious blessings.

In line with the programme, newly appointed Brigade Commander planted a sapling followed by addressing to the brigade troops, emphasizing their responsibilities in their roles and tasks. Additionally, he underscored the importance of discipline, both in military service and the civilian life. The event was culminated with an all ranks tea with participation of Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Plant Engineer Brigade and under command units.
