NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDER FIELD ENGINEER BRIGADE ASSUMES DUTIES

Colonel H K P Karunathilaka RSP assumed duties as 21st Commander Field Engineer Brigade on 28 May 2024 at Headquarters of Field Engineer Brigade, Boo-oya, Vavuniya with a formal military ceremony.

The incoming Brigade Commander was warmly welcomed by Lt Col N L C Chandrajith RSP SLE, the Commanding Officer of 8 Field Engineer Regiment and saluted with a Guard Turnout upon his arrival.

Newly appointed Brigade Commander signed an official document to mark the assumption of his duties amidst religious blessings. As a military tradition, he was invited to add memories by planting a “Mango” sapling and followed by addressing to the troops of Field Engineer Brigade and 8 Field Engineer Regiment.
