NEW DIRECTOR OF VETERAN AFFAIRS ASSUMES OFFICE

Brigadier Mangala Mayadunna of Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE) assumed office as the 12th Director of Veteran Affairs on 30 September 2021 at his office in the Army Headquarters at Sri Jayawardenepura. He suceeded Brigadier Najeewa Edirisingha who was recently appointed as the Commandant at Army Training School at Maduruoya.

The newly-appointed Director left his signature in an official document to symbolize his acceptance of the new office amid religious observances.

Brigadier Mangla Mayadunna was the Centre Commandant of the SLE Regimental Centre prior to this appointment.

Staff officers of the Directorate, Officers and Other Ranks were present at the occasion.
