With the sponsorship of Brigadier Mangala Mayadunna RSP USP, Centre Commandant Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and Mrs Lalani Mayadunna, Seva Vanitha Branch Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers distributed 20 dry ration packs among needy families in general area Kiriwaththuduwa.
As per guidelines given by Major General Nihal Amarasekara USP ndu, Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and the close supervision of Mrs Shiromi Amarasekara, the President of Seva Vanitha Branch Sri Lanka Engineers (SVB SLE), the distribution programme was carried out at the evening hours on 16 June 2021. Dry ration packs were handed over to doorsteps by the Chairperson of SVB SLE, Brigadier Mangala Mayadunna RSP USP and Mrs Lalani Mayadunna after identifying the families who are undergoing hardships due to COVID-19 spreading in the area.
The event was coordinated by Major Sanjeewa Siriwardana USP SLE, Officer Commanding (Admin Wing - RHQ SLE) and Captain Praveen Suraweera SLE coordinator Seva Vanitha Branch, strictly complying to the COVID 19 health guidelines.
