The National Novices Judo Championship 2025 was held on 9 & 10 August at the Jayathilaka Indoor Stadium, Nawalapitiya. Soldiers from the 8 Field Engineer Regiment SLE brought pride to the unit and the Corps of Sir Lanka Engineers with their outstanding performances:

S/248731 L/Cpl Rathnayaka RMCB – 2nd Place (90Kg)
S/249372 L/Cpl Ranaweera EGIP – 3rd Place (55Kg)
